The confidence of a foreign trade enterprise in Shandong

In the south, there is Yiwu, and in the north, there is Linyi. After witnessing the bustling scenes in the "World Capital of Small Commodities", reporters from Haibao News came to Linyi, the "Logistics Capital of China". It took three days of making appointments to confirm the interview time with a busy foreign trade enterprise executive.

"Not a single person is idle—everyone wishes they could split themselves into two," said Zhu Mengxia, a worker picking up white porcelain blanks on the production line, in the high-end porcelain manufacturing workshop on the afternoon of April 22. She told reporters they've been extremely busy lately, as the company recently secured a large domestic order. With such strong customer demand, products are shipped out as soon as they're made.

On that same April 22 afternoon, Zhu Mengxia was working on the production line, handling white porcelain blanks in the high-end porcelain workshop. It's hard to believe this is a foreign trade enterprise where over 40% of business comes from the U.S. Despite most U.S.-bound orders being put on hold due to the recent so-called "reciprocal tariff" turmoil in America, the production lines haven't stopped operating.

When did the "turning point" occur? Behind these busy production lines, a path for Chinese foreign trade enterprises to break through the challenges of the tariff war is quietly emerging.

Since early April, the Foreign Trade Section of Linyi Municipal Bureau of Commerce has been working to connect enterprises with domestic sales channels, sometimes not leaving work until two or three in the morning. Linyi is vigorously promoting a campaign to expand domestic sales of high-quality foreign trade products. Online, it has established an "Inventory of High-Quality Foreign Trade Products" through e-commerce platforms. Offline, it organizes enterprises with export-quality goods to enter communities, supermarkets, and trade fairs, displaying foreign trade products directly in front of local consumers.
